Atlanta Steeplechase 2009

I had the privilege to join the Atlanta Steeplechase office and Atlanta Home and Lifestyles in designing the Chairman’s Tent this year.  It was wonderful to work with these ladies, not only did we achieve an elegant tent, but we made great friends.  The Chairman’s Tent was combined with the Horse and Hound Tent.  Many sponsors, riders, and people that just love horses joined together in this fun filled atmosphere.  Tables were draped with white linens and burlap overlays, set off with beautiful silver and Spring tulips.  Our featured artist this year was Susan Burns.  Susan’s work will capture the heart of any horse lover.  Paintings were set on easels all around the tent and was the perfect finishing touch!!  This design was a wonderful example of bringing the indoors out.  Try it yourself,  with your summer cookouts be creative in how you decorate.  Add comfy pillows or use cloth napkins.  You will be surprised at the difference small details make.
